Volume two of the excellent study guide Quartet published by The Japan Times is a comprehensive learning resource for mid-to-high intermediate Japanese students. It offers a well-balanced study experience of the four language skills – reading, writing, listening, and speaking – by offering expressions, grammatical structures, and other strategies required to properly communicate at the intermediate level. This volume continues from the first book with six new lessons (7-12) consisting of 65 grammatical patterns and expressions, 330 kanji, and approximately 900 new words.
