JLPT N4 Reading Comprehension Points & Practice

The JLPT Points & Practice series is a collection of questions and pointers to acquire the minimum necessary skills required for passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. This book aims to help students practice their reading comprehension. All of the questions, answers, and explanations of the questions come in with English, Chinese, and Vietnamese translation.

The book consists of 12 lessons divided into 3 categories ("Reading Points," "Short Passages," "Mid-Size Passages"), "Mock Test," and "Answers and Explanations" section.

 

LESSONS

Lesson 1 describes 3 key attention points (omissions, demonstratives, reasons) to focus on when dealing with reading on the JLPT N4 exam and provides exercises that test whether the student can use them in practice. In the rest of the lessons, you will learn how to derive correct answers from different kinds of reading materials, like written explanations, emails, notifications, and schedules. Solving the exam-style questions will help you understand the test format, hone your test-taking skills and help find out what your weak points are.

MOCK TEST

The "Mock Test" section has the same format as the actual exam, so you can test yourself and see how well you would do in a real JLPT exam.

ANSWERS AND EXPLANATIONS

This section not only gives the correct answer but also illustrates where the answer can be found in the text, explains why other answers were incorrect, and sometimes describes grammatical structures used in a reading passage.
